Our Story

Our Welfare Group

Parkside Villa Welfare Group has been established in accordance to the ministry of Labour and Social Protection Regulations. It was fully registered in the month of June 2019 and thus contacts its business Legally. It enjoys full support of the Directors of Kitui-Mwingi Parkside Motel LTD. The main objective of the group is to help members accumulate savings and create a source of funds from which members can borrow at a fair and reasonable interest rate and also stand with the members in hard times when they lose a member of their Nuclear and Extended families in accordance to the outlined procedure.

New Membership Registration

Membership is open to all employees of Parkside Villa. You can register conveniently through our online portal or by downloading and filling out the Membership Registration Form and submitting it to the secretary's office. Registration for new members is Ksh. 3200.

Membership Outside Parkside Villa

One can continue being a member of the welfare even after ceasing to be an employee at Kitui-Mwingi Parkside Motel LTD, provided the following conditions are met:

  1. Deposit slips of Contributions to be received by the Treasurer by the 5th of the following Month after the month of Contribution. Deposit slips can be sent either electronically to the Welfare email address (Email: parksidevillawelfare@gmail.com) or by hand delivery.
  2. Attend AGMs and at least one meeting.
  3. Provide at least three (3) guarantors who are active members of the group while applying for a loan. He/She shall enjoy other benefits in full attributable to any other member.

Quorum For Meetings

All members meetings shall be guided by the regulations outlined below:

  1. Two-thirds of members must be present for a meeting to proceed.
  2. All members should attend AGM; failure to attend without apology will attract a fine of Ksh 100.
  3. AGM will be communicated in writing.
  4. "Elections will be held during the AGM."
  5. In case of no confidence with the secretariat, two thirds (2/3) of members will be required to pass a resolution to dissolve the secretariat.
  6. A special meeting will be called in the event of constitution amendment.

Withdrawal Of Membership

A member who wishes to pull out of the welfare shall do so by giving a one-month notice in writing. All his/her savings shall be redeemed less any outstanding loans, interest, penalties, and ledger fees. Such a member must not be a guarantor of another member. A member who procedurally exits the welfare shall have his/her savings refunded within one month, net of any outstanding interests, loans, and penalties.
